Terms and Conditions

By using our Software and Services you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions herein in full. The Terms and Conditions govern the Agreement between you and us with regard to your use of our Software and Services.

It is your responsibility to read and comply with the terms you are agreeing to when using our Software and Services. If you are not clear about any part of these Terms and Conditions it is your responsibility to obtain independent legal advice at your own cost before you agree to use our Software and Services.

You agree that you have sought or been advised to seek independent legal advice in relation to the Terms and Conditions herein and fully understand the effect of the Terms and Conditions herein in its entirety and expressly agree that the Terms and Conditions are fair and reasonable in all circumstances and shall be binding on you in full effect.

You also agree that:

  • apart from Spacebox Limited, there are other similar service providers in Hong Kong;
  • the price range charged by Spacebox Limited is reasonable and suitable for the services provided and your needs taking into account the limitation of liability as per Clause 13 herein;
  • you are entitled to freely engage other service providers instead of Spacebox Limited;
  • you will raise queries with Spacebox Limited if there is anything in these Terms and Conditions that you do not understand; and
  • you are aware of your rights and entitlements under legislations giving protection to you as a consumer.

To be eligible for using our Software and Services, you must (for individual client) have attained the age of majority (i.e. 18 years old) / (for limited company client) be a limited company registered with the Companies Registry in Hong Kong. You declare that you (for individual client) have attained the age of majority (i.e. 18 years old) / (for limited company client) be a limited company registered with the Companies Registry in Hong Kong.

1. Introduction

  • 1.1 The terms “Spacebox”, “us”, “our”, “ours” or “we” refer to Spacebox Limited, whose registered office is Spacebox Limited at Unit 13C, Yam Hop Hing Industrial Building, 40 Kwai Wing Road, Kwai Chung, New Territories, Hong Kong.
  • 1.2 The terms “Client” , “you” and “your” refer to the user using our Software and/or Services pursuant to the Agreement. Once you start using our Software and/or Services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the Terms and Conditions.
  • 1.3 Spacebox has no obligation to provide the Services to you and we may refuse to provide any Services to you at our sole discretion at any time.
  • 1.4 If you disagree with any part of the Terms and Conditions, please inform us in writing and you are prohibited to use our Software and Services.

2. Definitions

    “Account”means an account you registered with us to access our Services. An Account is active when you are using our Services whether or not you have one or more on-going Plans under the Agreement;
    “Agreement”means the agreement between you and us with regard to the Services and Software provided by us. The Quotation and these Terms and Conditions, including any subsequent amendments thereto, together form part of the Agreement;
    “Box” or “Boxes”means the box or boxes used for the purpose of storing your goods and each box shall be counted as 1 Item. Boxes referred to as “Our Boxes” are those Boxes that Spacebox provides to you as part of the Services and their ownership shall remain with Spacebox, which include “Standard Boxes” and “Big Boxes”. “Your Boxes” are those Boxes that you have purchased from us and you shall have their ownership once purchased, which include “Document boxes”, “Wardrobe boxes” and other types of carton boxes;
    “By Box/Item Storage”means all Services provided by us that are charged by the number and type of Box/Item, as specified in Clause 6 and where applicable the relevant Quotation and/or any gratuitous service we provide to you from time to time;
    “By Square Feet Storage”means all Services provided by us that are charged by square feet acquired, as specified in Clause 7 and where applicable the relevant Quotation;
    “Collection Point”means the address in Hong Kong that you provide for Spacebox to collect or deliver the Items from or to you;
    “Confidential Information”means all information or data (whether in writing or in other format) relating to a party’s (i) business, financial, legal, pricing and marketing strategies and trade secrets; (ii) ideas, concepts and plans created for marketing; (iii) purchases and sales of products and services; (iv) contacts of Clients, suppliers, vendors, contractors and associates in which a party shall have a proprietary interest to protect;
    “Data Protection Legislation”means the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, Cap. 486, laws of Hong Kong, and all other laws on privacy relating to the collection, use, disclosure, security, protection, and processing of Personal Data, guidance and codes of practice issued by the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data of Hong Kong;
    “Delivery” or “Deliveries”means the collection and delivery of Items from and to the Collection Point;
    “Fees”means prices, fees or charges for the Services to be adjusted from time to time without prior notice to you;
    “Hong Kong”means the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region;
    “Intellectual Property”means all registered and unregistered patents, trademarks, copyrights, design rights, domain names, goodwill and other rights associated therewith created in any jurisdiction;
    “Items”means items, including the contents therein, that you store with Spacebox, which shall be counted by number of Our Boxes, Your Boxes, Other Items, Bulky Items and/or Non-Bulky Items as defined in Clause 6 and Annexes 2 and 3. We have no obligation to check the contents of the boxes and the value thereof;
    “Minimum Storage Period”means the minimum number of full months that you have to subscribe for our Services under a Plan;
    “Personal Data”means any data from which it is practicable for the identity of an individual to be directly or indirectly ascertained, such as his/her names, addresses, telephone numbers, emails, emergency contacts, photos, or fingerprints;
    “Plan(s)”means a specific Service plan offered by us;
    “Prohibited Items”means without limitation any Items listed under Annex 1;
    “Quotation” or “Summary of terms”means the document that may be provided in some cases additionally to the Terms and Conditions to specify certain terms of your Plan.
    “Storage Period”means the period of time in full months that you have subscribed for our Services under a Plan.
    “Service Term”means the duration of a Plan you are using as renewed from time to time until Termination pursuant to Clause 15;
    “Software”means any software, website and mobile application, whether developed by Spacebox or by a third party, provided by Spacebox for your use in the process of providing our Services to you;
    “Services”means any and all services provided by Spacebox to you during the Service Term pursuant to the Agreement;
    “Service Start Date”means the day your Items are checked-in to our warehouse or the 15th day from the day we have delivered Our empty Boxes to you, whichever is earlier;
    “Website”means https://www.spacebox.com.hk and any subdomains thereof.

    3. Use of our Software

    • 3.1 The content of our Software does not form part of the Agreement unless otherwise specified, and is for your general information and use only. The content of our Software is subject to change without notice.
    • 3.2 You acknowledge that the information and materials in our Software may contain inaccuracies or errors, which may be inconsistent with the Agreement. In case of any inconsistencies between the Software and the Agreement, the Agreement shall prevail. We expressly exclude liability for any such inaccuracies or errors to the maximum extent permitted by law.
    • 3.3 Your reliance on any information or materials in our Software is entirely at your own risk, for which we shall not be liable to the maximum extent permitted by law. It shall be your own responsibility to ensure that any Services described in our Software meets your specific requirements.
    • 3.4 From time to time, our Software may include links or advertisements that direct you to other third party websites. We do not endorse, monitor or review the content of third party’s websites which are linked to from our Software. We shall not be regarded as the publisher of such opinions expressed or material appearing on such websites.
    • 3.5 We shall not be liable for the terms, policies, or content, of any third party websites and software in connection with your use of Software. We encourage you to read the privacy statements of these websites and software. You should evaluate the security and trustworthiness of any third party website or software, before disclosing any information or personal information to them. Spacebox will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever, resulting from your disclosure of information or personal information to any third party website or software which is done at your own risk.
    • 3.6 Our Software contains Intellectual Property which is owned by or licensed to us. Such Intellectual Property includes but is not limited to Spacebox’s trademark, the content, media, design, layout, look, appearance and graphics published on our Software. Any unauthorized use of our Software or the Intellectual Property rights associated thereto may give rise to a claim for damages and may also be a criminal offense.
    • 3.7 Redistribution or republication of any part or any content of our Software, by framing or any other similar means, without our express prior written permission, is strictly prohibited.

    4. Registration and Accounts

    • 4.1 In order to use our Services you must register and create an Account with us. To apply for an Account, you are required to provide your Personal Data including full name, identification document, address and contact information. You declare that the information that you provide to us is truthful, complete, accurate and up to date.
    • 4.2 Spacebox shall have the sole discretion to refuse to create an Account upon your application without providing a reason.
    • 4.3 To access your Account, you will be required to select a password or will be provided with one. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your login information is kept confidential to ensure that no other person can gain unauthorized access to your Account or the Services.
    • 4.4 If you open a Spacebox Account on behalf of a company, organization, or other entity, you represent and warrant that you are an authorized representative of the company, organization, or entity with the legal authority to bind the company, organization, or entity to this Agreement, and that you agree to this Agreement on the company’s, organization’s, or entity’s behalf. You also warrant that as an authorized representative of the company, organization, or entity, you are personally responsible for any Fees payable under our service plans.
    • 4.5 Depending on your Account type, you may be required to provide a valid copy of HKID, address proof, Business Registration, Annual Return, written board resolutions and/or the company’s written authorisation letter to use or continue to use our Services. We have the sole discretion to refuse to create an Account for you or terminate your use of our Services if you fail to provide us with the required documentation as aforesaid.
    • 4.6 You may never use other Client’s Account without their permission. When creating your Account, you must declare that you have provided accurate and complete information. You are solely responsible for the activity that occurs on your Account, and you must keep your login credentials secure. We encourage you to use strong passwords (i.e. passwords that use a combination of upper and lower-case letters, numbers and symbols) to access your Account. You must notify Spacebox immediately in writing if you are aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your Account. Spacebox disclaims all liability for any unauthorized use of your Account to the maximum extent permitted by law.
    • 4.7 You may not sub-license or re-sell any of the Services to any third party, or claim to represent us in any way for any reason whatsoever without our prior written consent.
    • 4.8 Your Personal Data may be used by Spacebox for other uses as specified in our 'Privacy Policy'.

    5. Use of our Services

    • 5.1 You warrant that at all times whilst using our Services, all Items stored at our premises either belong to you and that you are the legal and beneficial owner thereof or that you have the express permission from the owner of the Items to handle such Items and use our Services and to accept the Terms and Conditions herein not only for yourself but also for the owner of the Items. The liability of you and/or the owner of the Items under the Terms and Conditions herein shall be joint and several. You agree to notify all parties having or acquiring any interest in the Items of the Terms and Conditions herein. You further warrant that no other third party has any legal or beneficial or financial interest in the Items that you store with Spacebox.
    • 5.2 You will only use our Services in a manner that complies with all applicable laws. If in our sole opinion that your use of our Services is prohibited by any applicable laws, then the Agreement shall be terminated immediately and you will not be authorized to use the Services.
    • 5.3 You understand that the Items will be moved from time to time during Delivery and whilst in storage. By having us pick up an Item, you represent and warrant that the Item has been properly and securely packed with sufficient protection (or otherwise packed by supplies, padding and moving blankets) as is reasonably required for Delivery, storage and any related movement thereof and we shall not be liable for any loss of, damage to or any other claims relating to the Items which are improperly or insufficiently packed.
    • 5.4 Spacebox will only accept Items of a minimum size of 30 x 20 x 20 cm or equivalent side length, and any Item not packed in such size will be regarded as a loose Item.
    • 5.5 We reserve the right: (i) to refuse to accept any loose Items or Items that appears not properly packed for Delivery and storage; and/or (ii) to require you purchase our supplies and/or use Boxes to store such Items. Even when Spacebox accepts such an Item for delivery and storage, you agree that Spacebox is not responsible for and to waive any damage caused by or arising from your failure to properly pack your Items.
    • 5.6 You accept the risk that mold, mildew or similar microorganisms could develop when the Items are stored with us and we shall not be liable for the natural growth of mold, or mildew or similar microorganisms on or inside your Items. If such mold, mildew or similar microorganisms originate from your Item, causing damages to our facilities or Items of other Clients, you shall indemnify us fully on demand against all losses and damages.
    • 5.7 You understand that Items may be moved and/or stacked on top of each other, and you accept that Spacebox will disclaim all liability for any deformation or damage to your Items resulting from such movement and/or stacking to the maximum extent permitted by law.
    • 5.8 You acknowledge and agree that Spacebox will not be responsible for dismantling, assembling, disconnecting or reconnecting any Item, fixtures, fittings or equipment. All Items must be ready for pick up as they are upon the arrival of our Delivery personnel. Spacebox does not warrant that any transport vehicle or storage facility used by Spacebox is a suitable place or means of transport or storage for any particular Item. Spacebox may from time to time provide dismantling services for items where the provision of dismantling service has been pre-agreed with You in writing. Dismantling services where provided are always paid for by You additionally to other fees.
    • 5.9 You must not use our Services for any Prohibited Items, illegal, stolen, fragile, perishable and flammable Items, as listed under Annex 1.
    • 5.10 We, or anyone acting on our behalf may, but is under no obligation to, at any time without prior notification or consent open and inspect any Items, including Boxes or packages, stored at our premises or in our possession if (i) we reasonably believe at our sole opinion that the Item may pose a risk of injury or damage to people or property or otherwise contain anything stored which is in breach of the Agreement; or (ii) we are required to do so by the police or any competent authority, or pursuant to applicable laws.
    • 5.11 We may refuse to store any Items, or may return to you or dispose of any Items at your cost, if we reasonably believe that the storage or continued storage of the same would be a risk to any person or property.
    • 5.12 You agree that Spacebox may use subcontractors and/or third parties to help perform any of its obligations or Services under the Agreement, or any other agreement that incorporate this Agreement without prior notice to or consent from you, including without limitation for deliveries, storage and other logistics services and agree to such terms of those third parties either with us as principal or on your behalf.
    • 5.13 Spacebox is under no obligation to and will not inspect or verify the value of the items and/or the information given by you regarding the Items or the contents and nature of the Items.

    6. By Box/Item Storage

    • 6.1 Fees and Services offered under different By Box/Item Storage Plans are listed under Annexes 2, 4 and 5, which may be revised from time to time at the sole discretion of Spacebox.
    • 6.2 All Your Boxes and supplies provided to you by us must be purchased from us, and you shall have their ownership once purchased. There is no warranty on quality and fitness of boxes purchased from us.
    • 6.3 Spacebox retains ownership over all Our Boxes provided to you and they must be returned to us when not in use, unless you have purchased any such Boxes from us, otherwise an empty box rental fee will be charged. Where you fail to return Our Boxes after the end of the relevant Service Term, we may deem that you have acquired the boxes and we will charge you the relevant purchase fee in addition to the prior rental fee.
    • 6.4 Clients can have multiple By Box/Item Storage Plans, with different Fees, Services offered, Minimum Spend and Storage Period.

    7. By Square Feet Storage

    • 7.1 Fees and Services offered under different By Square Feet Storage Plans are listed under Annexes 3, 4 and 5, which may be revised from time to time at the sole discretion of Spacebox.
    • 7.2 All Your Boxes and supplies provided to you by us must be purchased from us, and you shall have their ownership once purchased. There is no warranty on quality and fitness of boxes purchased from us.
    • 7.3 Spacebox retains ownership over all Our Boxes provided to you and they must be returned to us when not in use, unless you have purchased any such Boxes from us, otherwise an empty box rental fee will be charged. Where you fail to return Our Boxes after the end of the relevant Service Term, we may deem that you have acquired the boxes and we will charge you the relevant purchase fee in addition to the prior rental fee.
    • 7.4 Clients can have multiple By Square Feet Storage Plans, with different Fees, Services offered, Minimum Spend and Storage Period.
    • 7.5 Spacebox will endeavour, to our best effort but without any guarantee, to fit all the Items into the volume that you have purchased, whether by stacking your Items on top of each other or otherwise. In case your Items require more spaces at our storage facilities, you will be automatically upgraded to the nearest Plan that accommodates all your Items stored with us. We will notify you of such upgrade in writing as soon as possible.
    • 7.6 Clients may request to upgrade or consolidate their existing Plan(s) to a Plan with bigger volume anytime if such request is agreed by us. The Minimum Storage Period counting will then restart when Services under the upgraded Plan commences.
    • 7.7 Clients can only downgrade their existing Plan to a smaller Plan after the Storage Period is over.

    8. Promotion Codes and Coupons

    • 8.1 We may, at our sole discretion, create promotional codes, referral codes or printed coupons (“Promo Codes”) that may entitle you to credits or discounts to be applied to your Fees, or to other features or benefits related to the Services, subject to terms that Spacebox establish on a per Promo Code basis.
    • 8.2 You agree that the Promo Codes:
      • 8.2.1 May only be used by the intended recipient;
      • 8.2.2 Must be used for the intended purpose, and in a lawful manner;
      • 8.2.3 May not be published, duplicated, sold or transferred in any manner, or made available to the general public, unless expressly permitted by us in writing;
      • 8.2.4 May be disabled by Spacebox at any time for any reason without liability to Spacebox
      • 8.2.5 May only be used pursuant to the specific terms that Spacebox establish for such Promo Code;
      • 8.2.6 Are not redeemable for cash;
      • 8.2.7 May expire prior to their use and we have no duty to remind you of any such expiry; and
      • 8.2.8 Must not be obtained through unauthorised channels, altered, forged or tampered with. Such action will result in the Promo Codes being deemed void and may constitute fraud.
    • 8.3 We reserve the right to withhold or deduct credits, discounts or other features or benefits obtained through the use of Promo Codes by you if we at our sole discretion consider that the use or redemption of the Promo Code was in error, fraudulent, illegal, or in violation of the applicable Promo Code terms or these Terms and Conditions.

    9. Delivery

    • 9.1 Our Delivery service level and policies are listed under Annex 5.
    • 9.2 When requesting a Delivery, you are required to make a booking. All bookings are on a first-come-first-serve basis and require sufficient notice according to the booking cut-off time as depicted under Annex 5, and are subject to availability of our time-slots.
    • 9.3 Bookings on our Software are not confirmed in real time, and are subject to changes and confirmation by Spacebox.
    • 9.4 Before a booking is confirmed, you may also be required to verify your identity over the phone, or in a manner acceptable to Spacebox.
    • 9.5 We reserve the right to refuse a Delivery until all of your outstanding payments have been received by us.
    • 9.6 It is your responsibility to ensure that you or your authorised representative is present at the Collection Point to collect or deliver all the Items at the scheduled time-slot. If you or your authorised representative is not present, or your Items are not available for collection within 15 minutes from (i) the scheduled time-slot or (ii) our Delivery personnel’s arrival at the Collection Point, whichever is later, such Delivery would be treated as a “No-show” from you. You should notify Spacebox of any changes regarding your bookings by the booking cut-off time as stated under Annex 5, otherwise your failure to comply with this clause will be treated as “Late Notification” and there will be separate charges as stated under Annex 6. We reserve the rights not to collect or deliver any Items if we are in doubt of the identity of your authorised representative.
    • 9.7 You shall ensure that the Items have been securely packed, wrapped, sealed or are otherwise suitably prepared for Delivery so as not to cause any risk of damage or injury to Spacebox’s property, vehicles, employees, agents, contractors or other Clients’ Items, whether by spreading of damp, infestation, leakage, escape of fumes or substances or otherwise. Your failure to comply with this clause will be treated as a 'Failed Delivery'.
    • 9.8 We are not liable for any damage to Items that we deem to have not been properly packed, wrapped, or otherwise prepared for storage and/or Delivery, including the non-compliance of Clause 9.11. This includes loose parts that have not been properly secured.
    • 9.9 You warrant that the Collection Point and access thereof are fit for collection and delivery. Spacebox shall not be responsible for any damage to the Collection Point or any property therein arising out of Delivery of the Items. It is your responsibility to instruct Spacebox to Deliver Items in locations where the reasonable Delivery will be safe and not lead to scratches and damages to flooring, surfaces and furnishing. If you ask us to Deliver Items from or to a Collection Point where contents therein can be easily damaged even where reasonable care is exercised during Delivery (e.g., if you ask us to drop or collect Items from a wooden flooring, or where Clause 9.11 is not complied with), we will not be responsible for the damage caused.
    • 9.10 It is your responsibility to provide accurate and up-to-date information about the Items to be collected by Spacebox before the Delivery, including but not limited to quantity, dimension, condition, material and weight of the Item(s).
    • 9.11 It is your responsibility to ensure reasonable access and parking facilities to the Collection Point (e.g. it is on the ground floor or within easy access by an elevator), and your Items could easily fit into and/or pass through elevators, corridors or any other parts of the access road to the Collection Point. Spacebox is not responsible for making any environmental or Item alterations related to its provision of the Delivery. We reserve the right to refuse the Delivery or charge an extra fee as depicted under the Annexes at our sole discretion if the conditions in this Clause 9.11 are not met. It is your responsibility to ask about these charges in advance.
    • 9.12 We shall not be held liable, to the maximum extent permitted by law, for any cancellations, delay or missed deliveries due to any schedule conflicts, any adverse weather conditions, bad weather warnings, traffic conditions, accidents, errors, any event within or outside our control, or non-performance due to compliance with statutory requirements or Government policies, or as a result of force majeure (subject to further terms and stipulations as listed in Clause 16). You also warrant that Spacebox will be provided with legal access to the Collection Point (no trespass).
    • 9.13 While access to Spacebox’s storage facilities is generally strictly prohibited, Clients may deliver or collect Items to or from our storage facilities by themselves under special circumstances and with our prior written approval. Our self-delivery service level, requirements and policies are listed under Annex 5. Items brought to our storage facilities by self-delivery are subject to the same Terms and Conditions under this Clause 9 wherever applicable.
    • 9.14 We reserve the right to refuse the Delivery that does not comply with the Agreement, in particular, this Clause 9 and/or Annexes 1, 5 and/or 6 at our discretion.
    • 9.15 Scheduled deliveries are subject to cancellation or rescheduling at the sole discretion of Spacebox. Situations where cancellations or rescheduling of deliveries may be necessary include and are not limited to the Hong Kong Observatory hoisting or announcing its intention to hoist the Typhoon Signal 8 or Black Rain storm warnings, accidents, breakdown of delivery vehicles, manpower shortages, civil unrest, harsh weather conditions, acts of God, etc.
    • 9.16 If the weather and/or environmental conditions before or during a delivery are deemed unsuitable for Spacebox’s staff to provide services and or endangers Spacebox’s staff’s safety, the said delivery may be subject to cancellation or rescheduling at the sole discretion of Spacebox.
    • 9.17 Spacebox will give notice as early as it deems possible and necessary ahead of any delivery cancellations or rescheduling. Spacebox will not provide any compensation to you for a delivery cancellation or rescheduling.

    10. Fees

    • 10.1 Fees (including any revisions thereof) are set out in our Software and the Terms and Conditions. Fees are subject to changes at the sole discretion of Spacebox. Where you have a Quotation, the Fees listed therein shall prevail and will apply to the Plan and Services you purchased under that Quotation for the Storage Period covered by the Quotation. Upon renewal in accordance with Clause 12.1 Fees will be updated in accordance with Clause 12.1. Fees specified in these Terms and Conditions shall apply for other Services not specified in the Quotation.
    • 10.2 Our Fees for storage Services are quoted on a full month basis.
    • 10.3 When you purchase a Plan, you agree to pay the relevant Fees for the Storage Periods in full months. You also agree that your Storage Period will renew and your Service Term will be extended automatically in accordance with Clause 12.1 unless you have terminated your Plan in accordance with Clause 15.1.
    • 10.4 Where you have agreed to Storage Period longer than the Minimum Storage Period for that Plan, the Storage Period you have agreed to supersede the Minimum Storage Period.
    • 10.5 Fees paid for Storage Periods are not refundable under any circumstances. The only exception to this is for Auto-renewed Storage Period as described in Clause 12.3.
    • 10.6 We are entitled to Fees in any event without set off or deductions notwithstanding any claim by you.
    • 10.7 Notwithstanding any damage to your Item(s), you are responsible for paying all Fees payable under the Agreement in any event without any set off or deductions, including Fees associated with dealing with an Item that is damaged (e.g. cleaning Fees). You are not entitled to chargeback or make other attempts to recoup Fees paid to Spacebox at any time.

    11. Payment

    • 11.1 Invoices must be settled in full on the due date stated thereon ('Due Date').
    • 11.2 Fees are always paid in advance. You will need to settle the Fees for the Storage Period fully in advance and the Due Date for storage Fees is the first day of the Storage Period for which you are being billed, this may be your Service Start Date, a day specified in the Quotation as applicable, or the day your Plan auto-renews as per Clause 12.1. All transport fees and other service fees are always due in advance of services being rendered.
    • 11.3 Your billing frequency may be different from your Storage Period where agreed by us in writing, in this case storage Fees are billed in advance at a certain frequency, for example, every 1, 3, 6 or 12 months (each a 'Billing Period'). Your fees become due immediately on the first day of each Billing Period within your Storage Period. Your billing frequency being shorter than your Storage Period does not give you the right to terminate your Storage Period without settling the full amount of fees for the whole Storage Period.
    • 11.4 You may make payment by credit card or bank transfer, or such other payment method that we may advise you in writing from time to time. Clients with a monthly Billing Frequency must pay by credit card in accordance with Clauses 11.4 - 11.7.
    • 11.5 Where payment is accepted by credit card, we may require you to provide your credit card number and information, which may be saved by us and used for billing all Fees payable in the future.
    • 11.6 By providing your credit card information, you certify that you are the card owner or have authorization to make payments by this credit card for all fees for the duration of your Service Term including any renewal thereof, and you agree that Spacebox will automatically charge the credit card when your Fees are due ('AutoPay Authorisation').
    • 11.7 Your AutoPay Authorisation will remain in full force and effective until you have paid all your payments under the Agreement and have terminated our Services without breach or default.
    • 11.8 It is your responsibility to ensure the correct and up-to-date credit card is entered into our system at all times for AutoPay Authorisation or other payments. Spacebox shall not be liable for alerting you that your credit card is about to expire. If a credit card needs to be updated, removed or replaced, it is your responsibility to do so in time.
    • 11.9 You agree to indemnify us on demand against all outstanding fees, costs and expenses (including any interest and administrative charges) in the event that any payment due is not received by us, or if any payment is made later than the Due Date.
    • 11.10 If any payment due to us is not received by us within 14 days from the Due Date, you agree that:
      • 11.10.1 A Late Payment Fee of HK$100 or 5% of the outstanding amount, whichever is higher, will be payable by you;
      • 11.10.2 We may exercise a lien over the Items until all outstanding payments and charges (including any interest and administrative charges) have been received by us; and
      • 11.10.3 Spacebox may suspend any service and refuse access to the Items by you or your representative.
    • 11.11 If any payment due to us is not received by us within 30 days from the Due Date, you agree that:
      • 11.11.1 An administrative fee of HK$1,000 will be payable by you;
      • 11.11.2 We may engage a debt collection agency to recover any payments and charges due as well as the costs of any such collection against you on indemnity basis.
      • 11.11.3 Spacebox may without any court order sell, dispose of or destroy the Items (or any part thereof) at its sole discretion at such price (if any) and in such manner as Spacebox thinks fit without prior notice or your consent, and hold you liable for all costs and expenses incurred in relation thereto; and
      • 11.11.4 Any proceeds from such sale will be first applied to settle outstanding payments and charges including interest, legal fees, collection agency fees, court fees, survey fees, administrative fees and costs of sale. The remaining balance of the sale proceeds will be returned to you. If after 60 days from the date of sale we are unable to contact you to return any balance of the sale proceeds to you, the said balance will be paid to Spacebox for closure of the Account.
    • 11.12 If after the sale, disposal or destruction of Items pursuant to Clause 11.11, any sale proceeds is insufficient to cover the outstanding payments and charges (including interest and other fees and expenses) due to us, you will be obliged to settle any outstanding balance within 7 working days, after which time we may engage a debt collection agency to recover any payments and charges due as well as the costs of any such collection against you on indemnity basis.
    • 11.13 All prepayment amounts are non-refundable.
    • 11.14 Deposits are refundable within 20 working days from the end of relevant Service Term, and all other refunds are processed within 20 working days of us agreeing a refund with you. Deposit and other all other refunds are subject to (i) your full compliance with the Agreement, and (ii) you having returned all relevant Spacebox property in perfect working condition, without any damage except for fair wear and tear. Where you have breached the terms of the Agreement (including any failure to pay the Fees) or caused damage to any property of Spacebox, your deposit or refund amount will be deducted accordingly as damages before any balance is returned to you. If your deposit or refund amount is insufficient to pay for all the damages suffered by Spacebox as a result thereby, you shall be liable to pay for further damages to be assessed to Spacebox.

    12. Renewal Clause

    • 12.1 Where you have not terminated a Plan according to Clause 15.1, upon expiry of the relevant Storage Period of that Plan, that Plan of yours will be automatically renewed and the Service Term will be automatically extended by the same number of full months as the previous Storage Period or Minimum Storage Period as applicable ('Auto-renewal'). The Fees will be updated to the latest applicable Fees for the relevant Plan. Where a Plan is no longer offered by us, we will determine a substitute Plan at our discretion.
    • 12.2 You may notify us in writing that you wish to change to a different Plan prior to the expiry of your current Storage Period for that Plan. The Storage Period will be extended accordingly under a different Plan if we approved your request to change your Plan. Once your Storage Period has been extended, you will not be able to make further changes to your Plan.
    • 12.3 If you have not been in contact with us prior to the 'Auto-renewal' of a Plan, you will have a grace period of 30 days after the start of a new Storage Period to request for a change of that Plan or to terminate that Plan within that month. Where you make a request within the grace period and the request is accepted, any amount due for refund to you will be processed in accordance to Clause 11.14.

    13. Limitations of Liability

    • 13.1 Spacebox does not insure your Items and offers no insurance for your Items. You acknowledge and agree that the use of our Services is entirely at your own risk and we disclaim and shall not be liable or responsible for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage to the Items to the maximum extent permitted by law including but not limited to the following:
      • 13.1.1 Caused by delay in Collection and Delivery due to bad weather, and in any case all activities will be suspended for up to 4 hours (or until the next working day) after lowering of any typhoon signal No. 8 or above, or Black rainstorm warning signal issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.
      • 13.1.2 Caused by any event of force majeure as set out in Clause 16.
      • 13.1.3 Caused by a third party.
      • 13.1.4 Arising from the natural deterioration of your Items.
      • 13.1.5 Arising from the growth of mold, mildew or similar microorganisms on your Items or contents therein.
      • 13.1.6 Arising from pests or similar organisms.
      • 13.1.7 Arising from loss of functionality or working conditions of your Items.
      • 13.1.8 Arising from deformation of your Items due to stacking.
      • 13.1.9 Arising from any act or omission of you, or any other person acting on behalf of you, including the failure to declare or the false declaration of value of your Items.
      • 13.1.10 Arising from Delivery and/or non-delivery and/or Delivery of Items to wrong parties.
      • 13.1.11 Arising from fire, flooding or building collapse.
      • 13.1.12 Arising from theft.
      • 13.1.13 Arising from any other cause of whatever nature unless such loss or damage is demonstrated to be directly attributable to the fault or negligence of Spacebox.
    • 13.2 You acknowledge and confirm that you will not use our Services for any of the Items as listed in Annex 1 being Prohibited Items pursuant to Clause 5.9. Spacebox shall in no event be liable for any loss or damage in respect of any such Items as listed in Annex 1 provided to Spacebox by you in breach of the Terms and Conditions herein.
    • 13.3 Subject to the exclusions of liability in Clause 13.1 to 13.2 and any other Terms and Conditions, to the extent that it is proved that the claim arises from the negligence of Spacebox, its servants, agents or contractors in handling the Boxes at the warehouse and transporting the Boxes, the liability of Spacebox shall not exceed HK$1,000 per item and HK$10,000 for each Client throughout your lifetime as a user of our Services.
    • 13.4 We shall have no liability in the event that we are required to destroy or surrender any Items to the police or any competent authority pursuant to their orders. In such case you will be responsible and shall bear any costs or losses incurred by us in relation thereto.
    • 13.5 We shall not be liable for any loss of data, including Personal Data that we have taken all reasonable care to protect in accordance with the Data Protection Legislation, which is lost due to actions beyond our reasonable control.
    • 13.6 We shall not be liable for any direct or consequential loss resulting from malfunction or failure of our Software.
    • 13.7 We strongly advise against storing any official personal documents (such as passports, driving licenses, ID cards, etc.) or anything that contains Personal Data, such as date of birth or bank account number. If you still proceed to store official documents or Items containing Personal Data, you waive all rights and claims against Spacebox in relation to storage of such Items.
    • 13.8 We do not warrant that any Delivery or storage facility and environment used by Spacebox is a suitable place or means of Delivery or storage for any particular Item.
    • 13.9 We exclude all liabilities for loss and damage arising out of the following to the maximum extent permitted by law:
      • 13.9.1 All representations and warranties relating to our Software or Services made by us, our affiliates or any other third party, including in relation to any inaccuracies or omissions in our Software;
      • 13.9.2 Your use of our Software or Services. This includes, without limitation, direct loss, loss of business or profits (regardless of its foreseeability or our knowledge of your risk of loss), damage caused to your computer, computer software, systems and programs and the data thereon or any other direct or indirect, consequential and incidental damages; and
      • 13.9.3 Any warranty or guarantee as to the availability, accuracy, timeliness, performance, completeness or suitability of the information and materials found or offered on our Website or any other promotional or advertising materials for any particular purpose.

    14. Indemnity

    • 14.1 You agree to indemnify and hold us, our directors, officers, employees, agents, and business partners on demand from all claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, losses, and legal fees arising out of any breach of the Agreement by you or any other person accessing or using our Software or Services under your Account.
    • 14.2 You agree to indemnify and hold us, our directors, officers, employees, agents, and business partners on demand from any claim by third parties relating to any Services provided by us in respect of the Items regardless of whether any litigation has been filed against us.

    15. Termination

    • 15.1 You may terminate each Plan by removing all Items stored with Spacebox under such Plan, settling all Fees due to us, and notifying us in writing that you do not wish to renew that Plan before end of the current Storage Period. You cannot terminate a Plan if your Items are still stored with us upon the end of a Storage Period and in such case the Plan will be subject to Auto-Renewal as per Clause 12.1. However, you may change the Plan within the 30 days’ grace period pursuant to Clause 12.3.
    • 15.2 You may terminate the Agreement if there are no existing Plans under your Account and no outstanding Fees payable to us by notifying us in writing. Upon receiving your written notice to terminate the Agreement, your Account will be closed. All data relating to your Account remains the property of Spacebox following the termination of the Agreement and the closure of your Account.
    • 15.3 We may terminate any of your Plans at our sole discretion by giving you prior written notice. Where we terminate any of your Plans, we may offer you the option to transfer your Items affected by the Plan termination to an alternative Plan, you will have 2 working days to let us know if you agree to our proposed change of the Plan. If you do not accept the proposed change, you will need to remove your Items from storage within 5 working days from the date of our Plan termination notice.
    • 15.4 We may terminate your Agreement at our discretion (i) by giving you 3 working days’ prior notice if there is no breach on your part ('No Fault Termination'), or (ii) immediately by written notice if you have breached any clauses under the Agreement ('Breach Termination'). You will have 5 working days from the date of our termination notice to remove your Items from our premises. We may Deliver your Items to your designated Collection Point and will charge you for the Delivery in accordance with the Agreement. If you fail to remove your Items after 5 working days, you shall be liable to additional storage Fees determined by us. If you fail to remove your Items after 30 working days from the date of our termination notice, we will have the right to sell, dispose of or destroy your Items.
    • 15.5 For No Fault Termination, upon removing your Items from our premises and paying any outstanding Fees, we will refund any prepayment amounts for unused Service Term as well as any deposits.
    • 15.6 For Breach Termination, your prepayments and deposits will not be refunded and will be considered forfeited. You will still be liable for any unpaid balance offset against your prepayments and deposits.

    16. Force Majeure

    • 16.1 We shall not be liable to you for any failure to perform any obligation which is due to an event beyond our control including but not limited to any Act of God, terrorism, war, political insurgence, insurrection, riot, civil unrest, act of civil or military authority, uprising, earthquake, flood, computer hacking activities, government restrictions or any other natural or man-made eventuality outside of our control, nor any other event which could not have been reasonably foreseen.

    17. Data Protection

    • 17.1 You shall ensure all Personal Data provided to us are your own Personal Data or you shall have obtained written consent from the concerned individuals whose Personal Data is collected before disclosing the same to us.
    • 17.2 Spacebox and our employees and authorised persons may have access to Personal Data provided by you in accordance with the Agreement. We shall and shall procure our employees and agents to:
      • 17.2.1 Hold the Personal Data securely in accordance with the Data Protection Legislation; and
      • 17.2.2 Use the Personal Data exclusively for the purposes of the Agreement and shall not transfer or disclose, either free of charge or in return for any benefits, the Personal Data to any other person, except when compelled to do so under the applicable laws.

    18. Confidentiality

    • 18.1 Either party and his/her/its respective employees, professional consultants and agents (if any) engaged for performance of the Agreement shall keep confidential all Confidential Information that they have access to, unless (i) it is or becomes generally available to the public not through a breach of the Agreement; or (ii) it is required to be disclosed for performance of the Agreement, or under relevant laws, regulations or by government authorities.
    • 18.2 Neither party or his/her/its employees or agents shall disparage the other party or any of his/her/its officers, directors or employees on any media at any time.

    19. Intellectual Property

    • 19.1 You are not allowed to use, copy or modify any Intellectual Property of Spacebox without our prior written approval.
    • 19.2 Upon termination of the Agreement, or upon our written request (whichever is earlier), you shall immediately return all Intellectual Property of Spacebox to us, stop using or destroy the Intellectual Property in accordance with the instructions of Spacebox.

    20. General

    • 20.1 The Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts in all disputes arising out of the use of our Software or Services under the Agreement.
    • 20.2 The Agreement contains the whole agreement between the parties in respect of the subject matter referred to and supersedes any previous understanding, arrangement or discussion between the parties.
    • 20.3 If any clause of the Agreement is deemed invalid, illegal or unenforceable for any reason, then any such invalid, illegal or unenforceable provision will be severed from these terms and the remaining terms will continue to apply.
    • 20.4 We may at our sole discretion assign or transfer any of our rights and obligations and contractual relationship with you to any third party.
    • 20.5 You may not assign or transfer any of your obligations under the Agreement.
    • 20.6 The failure of Spacebox to enforce any of the provisions set out in the Agreement shall not be construed as a waiver of any such provisions and shall not affect the validity of the Agreement or of any part thereof, or the right thereafter to enforce each and every provision.
    • 20.7 Clauses 13, 14, 17-19 shall survive termination of the Agreement.
    • 20.8 This Agreement is written in English and Chinese translation is provided for reference. Should there be any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions, the English version shall prevail.
    • 20.9 We reserve the rights for Spacebox to assign this Agreement.
    • 20.10 The defences and limitation of liability provided for by these Terms and Conditions shall apply in any action against Spacebox whether such action be founded in contract or in tort.
    • 20.11 No servants, agents, contractors of Spacebox shall have power to waive or vary any of the terms herein unless such waiver or variation is in writing and is specifically authorized or ratified in writing by an authorized person of Spacebox who has the actual authority of Spacebox so to waive or vary.

    21. Amendments

    • 21.1 We reserve the right to amend the Terms and Conditions from time to time as we see fit without prior notice to you or seeking agreement from you, and it is your responsibility to review the Terms and Conditions on each occasion that you visit our Software or use our Service.
    • 21.2 In case of any inconsistencies between the Terms and Conditions herein and the Terms and Conditions as amended by us from time to time, the latest version shall prevail.
    • 21.3 Your retention of an Account with us and/or continued use of our Software and Services after such amendments will signify your acceptance of such amendments and you shall be deemed to have read, understood and accepted the Terms and Conditions as amended. You are therefore advised to review the Terms and Conditions on a regular basis. The latest version of Terms and Conditions can be accessed at https://www.spacebox.com.hk/terms-and-conditions

    You must not use our Services for any prohibited, illegal, stolen, fragile, perishable and flammable Items and any items that you do not have permission from the legal and beneficial owners to handle or deal with.

    The list of Prohibited Items includes but is not limited to the following (subject to revision from time to time without prior notice to you):

    • Animal/human bodies, including but not limited to:
      • Carcasses
      • Ashes
    • Chemicals, drugs hazardous or toxic materials of any kind, including but not limited to:
      • Adhesives
      • Antifreeze
      • Brake, transmission and windshield washer fluids
      • Carpet cleaners
      • Camping gas, glazing torches and other harmful gases
      • Certain cleaners containing pine oil
      • Dry-cleaning spotters and solvents for home use
      • Engine additives
      • Liquid correction fluids
      • Oil-based paint
      • Paints, thinner and liquid adhesives
      • Some pesticides
      • Varnish
    • Flammable items of any kind, including but not limited to:
      • Beverages containing 70% or more alcohol by volume, etc.

      • Flammable gases (e.g. butane gas)
      • Flammable liquids (e.g. gasoline, cooking oil, lighter fluid and diesel)
      • Flammable solids (e.g. non-safety matches, disposable BBQ and coal)
      • Hand sanitizers containing ethyl alcohol
      • Lighters
      • Matches, charcoal, phosphorus and articles which are easily ignited
    • Food or perishable goods of any kind
    • Fragile items of any kind, including but not limited to:
      • Any items with glass, crystal etc.
      • Any items that colour or discolour easily with or without direct physical contact
      • Any items that colour or discolour easily under the exposure of light
    • High-value items exceeding the value of HK$1,000, such as jewelry, art, etc.
    • Illegal drugs, counterfeit goods, stolen property or illegal items of any kind, including but not limited to:
      • Firearms, weapons or explosives of any kind
    • Items which emit any kind of odour or fumes
    • Lithium batteries:
    • Liquids or compressed gases, including but not limited to:
      • Hair mousse
      • Hair sprays and other hair products containing alcohol
      • Perfume
      • Sunscreen spray
      • Spray lubricants
    • Personal property that would result in the violation of any law or regulation of any governmental authority
    • Plants or creatures (whether living or dead)

    • Powder, including but not limited to:

    Stair Levels Calculation

    • The first 5 steps are free.
    • Steps 6 to 15 are counted as the first level.
    • Every subsequent group of 10 steps is counted as one additional level.
    • Any group of fewer than 10 steps at the end is also counted as one level.

    Stair Fees for Empty Boxes

    • First 3 Levels:
      • Up to 10 empty boxes are free.
      • For more than 10 empty boxes, a charge of HK$20 is applied for every group of 5 boxes per level.
      • If fewer than 5 empty boxes exceed the group of 10, the charge is still calculated as if transporting 5 boxes.
    • Beyond the First 3 Levels:
      • A charge of HK$20 is applied for every group of 5 boxes per level, starting from the first box carried beyond these levels.
      • This includes the first 10 boxes if they are transported beyond the first three levels.
      • If the number of boxes in any group is fewer than 5, the charge is calculated as if transporting 5 boxes.

    Stair Fees for Other Items

    • Regular Item: HK$20 per item per level.
    • Overweight Item: HK$40 per item per level.

    Long-term Plan - Free Round Trip

    • Long-term Plan Client can enjoy up to 1 free round trip (Check-out + Re-Check-in) every 2 months.
    • The free round trips are per Account, non-accumulative and cannot be used for Final Check-out and Empty Box Collection.
    • Unused free trips cannot be exchanged for money, discounts, credits or any form of monetary value.
    • The free round trip comprises 1 free single Check-out trip and 1 free single Check-in trip.
    • New Client can use their first free round trip 2 months from their First Check-in date.
    • The next available free round trip starts 2 months from their last used free Check-out date. Any previously unused free Check-in trips will be forfeited on this date.
    • Any additional trip required: HK$15 / Item (min. HK$90 / trip).

    Final Check-out

    • The Final Check-out fee (per trip) applies to both full (terminate Plan for all Items in storage) and partial (terminate Service for some Items under a Plan) Final Check-out.

    Deposit

    • You are required to pay a deposit before Empty Box Drop-off or First Check-in (in case no Empty Box Drop-off required).
    • The deposit amount will be deducted from the first invoice.

    Prepayment Requirement

    • Unless otherwise agreed, all Clients’ first invoice is a prepayment invoice of:
      • Short-term Plan: 3 months
      • Long-term Plan: 6 months

    Minimum Spend

    • This is the minimum number of full months you have agreed to use the Service according to your Plan(s).

    Multiple Plans

    • You may have a Long-term Plan and a Short-term Plan at the same time:
      • Minimum Spend is calculated separately.
      • Minimum Storage Period is counted separately.
      • Transport & Handling Fee is calculated separately
        • If a Delivery involves Items from different Plans, applicable transport and handling fee from those Plans will continue to apply to the corresponding Item(s).
    • You may have Items under the same Plan (Long-term or Short-term) but were checked in to our warehouse at different times:
      • Minimum Spend is counted together.
      • Minimum Storage Period is counted together.
      • Transport & Handling Fee is calculated together.

    Glossary, Policies and Miscellaneous Fees

    Quotation

    • All By Square Feet Storage Plans are Quotation based.
    • All Clients will be provided a customized Quotation that lists out the details of storage requirements and storage Plan.
    • Clients will confirm and sign the Quotation to purchase the Service.

    Bulky Item

    • Total dimension (Length + Width + Height) is more than 180cm OR
    • Weight is more than 25kg
    • Cannot be comfortably carried by one person

    Non-Bulky Item

    • Total dimension (Length + Width + Height) is equal to or less than 180cm AND
    • Weight is within 25kg

    Container Fee

    • You are required to pay a one-off fee to purchase these box types:
      • Document Box: HK$20 / Box
      • Wardrobe Box: HK$79 / Box
    • Spacebox will not collect any unused Boxes and You will be deemed to have acquired them and be liable to pay the relevant purchase fee.
    • You may rent Standard Box or Big Box to use in a By Square Feet Storage:
      • HK$15 / Box / month

    Delivery by Spacebox

    • Tolls and Parking
      • Tunnel tolls, parking fees and all other tolls incurred by Spacebox on your behalf are not included and will be added to your nearest invoice.
    • Conditions of the Collection Point
      • The following conditions at the Collection Point must be met, otherwise Spacebox reserves the right to refuse Delivery, or adjust storage / delivery / handling fee accordingly:
        • Accessible parking at the Collection Point
        • Accessible by at least two working lifts (if the Collection Point is not on the ground floor)
        • No slopes from vehicle to the Collection Point
        • No more than 50 meters walking from vehicle to the Collection Point
    • Stair Levels Calculation
      • The first 5 steps are free.
      • Steps 6 to 15 are counted as the first level.
      • Every subsequent group of 10 steps is counted as one additional level.
      • Any group of fewer than 10 steps at the end is also counted as one level.
    • Stair Fees for Empty Boxes
      • First 3 Levels:
        • Up to 10 empty boxes are free.
        • For more than 10 empty boxes, a charge of HK$20 is applied for every group of 5 boxes per level.
        • If fewer than 5 empty boxes exceed the group of 10, the charge is still calculated as if transporting 5 boxes.
      • Beyond the First 3 Levels:
        • A charge of HK$20 is applied for every group of 5 boxes per level, starting from the first box carried beyond these levels.
        • This includes the first 10 boxes if they are transported beyond the first three levels.
        • If the number of boxes in any group is fewer than 5, the charge is calculated as if transporting 5 boxes.
    • Stair Fees for Other Items
      • Regular Item: HK$20 per item per level.
      • Overweight Item: HK$40 per item per level.
    • Remote Location Add-on Fee
      • For delivery trips of Non-Bulky Items only, and If your address is located in any of the following districts, the following add-on Fees will apply on top of the transport Fee of that trip:
        • Discovery Bay: HK$250 /trip
        • Airport: HK$200 / trip
        • Remote parts of the following locations – Sai Kung, Sheung Shui, Fanling, Yuen Long, Tuen Mun, Tai Po, Kam Tin, Sha Tau Kok: HK$120 / trip
    • Assembling and Dismantling
      • Services of assembling and dismantling are available upon request and by quotation only.

    Client Self Check-in / out

    • Parking
      • There are limited numbers of public parking spaces available at our warehouse building on a first-come-first-serve basis. You are responsible for making your own parking arrangements.
    • Pallet Switching
      • In case of a Self Check-out, you are responsible for moving Items from our pallet by yourself. Spacebox will not provide this service unless otherwise specified and agreed.

    Wrapping

    • Spacebox provides basic cling wrap service for the pallet only.
    • Additional wrapping service is available upon request and by quotation only.

    • We do not provide Service on Sunday and public holidays, unless otherwise agreed in advance with a quotation.
    • Same day express pick-up / delivery is available by request and subject to availability.

    • These are the Delivery time-slots for booking. Our team will arrive at any time within the booked time-slot period, and you are expected to be ready at their designated location, otherwise "Overtime Waiting" and "No-show / Failed Delivery" charges as depicted under Annex 6 will apply:

      • 12:00 - 15:00
      • 15:00 - 18:00
      • 18:00 - 20:00
    • Booking Cut-off Time

    Self Pick-up / Delivery at Spacebox Warehouse

    • You must make a booking by contacting our customer service hotline 2319 4138 or by email cs@spacebox.com.hk at least 48 hours in advance. Time-slots are limited and on a first-come-first-served basis.
    • You will be required to bring proof of identity or a letter of authorization if it will be conducted by your authorized representative.
    • This service does not include
      • Parking for any type of vehicle;
      • Packing or unpacking Items to and from Boxes for Clients;
      • Item disposal; or
      • Moving Items from Spacebox’s pallets.

    Annex 6 - Delinquency, Lien Charges and Penalties

    Late Change of Delivery Booking / Cancellation / No-show / Failed Delivery Fee

    • By Box/Item Storage
      • Notify us by the booking cut-off time as depicted under Annex 5 - Free
      • You can only change schedule for free once, otherwise a HK$200 handling fee applies
      • Late notification / No-show / Failed Delivery - HK$200 Minimum handling fee applies, You will be responsible to reimburse Spacebox for all costs incurred from your Late Notification/No-show/Failed Delivery, these costs will be calculated at the exclusive discretion of Spacebox.
    • By Square Feet Storage
      • Notify us at least 5 working days (before 3pm, Delivery date itself is not included) before the Delivery date - Free
      • You can only change schedule for free once, otherwise a HK$500 handling fee applies
      • Late notification / No-show / Failed Delivery - HK$500 Minimum handling fee applies, You will be responsible to reimburse Spacebox for all costs incurred from your Late Notification/No-show/Failed Delivery, these costs will be calculated at the exclusive discretion of Spacebox.

    Overtime Waiting

    • If you are not at the designated location when our team arrives within the booked time-slot, we will apply overtime waiting charges as follows:
      • First 15 mins: Free
      • After 15 mins, we reserve the right to consider this delivery/pick-up a “No-Show” and charge the applicable add-on fee
      • HK$90 for every 15 mins thereafter

    Service Cancellation

    • If you cancel the Service after Empty Box Drop-off, you will have to return the empty Boxes within 14 days, otherwise billing will begin as if the Boxes were stored with us in Spacebox’s storage facilities starting on the 15th day.
    • You will also be charged the Empty Box Drop-off fee and Empty Box Collection fee - HK$200 / trip

    Late Payment

    • Refer to Clauses 11.9 - 11.12
